University Trip Day

Mentor a Newcomer plans to host two university tours annually for admissions and financial aid presentation. Event details and invitation for registration will be circulated through Bay Area refugee and immigrant assisting organizations. 

Each year Mentor a Newcomer co-sponsors Afro-Soccer Wellness. A half day event that brings Bay Area adults/youth from many African communities to soccer, music and food event. 

Soccer brings physical activity and friendship. 

Community members come out with their musical instrument for a day of fun. 

Mentor a Newcomer regularly holds a bi-weekly educational Zoom sessions with the main focus on Mental Health, Financial Management and many relevant topics.
